I originally got this for my kids, but honestly I have had just as much fun looking through it. We have checked out bits of bark, soil, and whatever else we can find. Anything that makes them forget about the iPad for a while is a win for me.
We brought the Groovd Miniscope to our garden and my kids spent ages looking at pollen. I especially like that it gives them a reason to explore. It is now permanently sitting by the back door.
Such a simple idea, but it has been a huge hit here. My 7-year-old started with the edge of a pinecone and then wanted to inspect seeds too. It encourages them to slow down and really look. Such a nice way to spend time together outside.
I like that this is small enough to bring with us instead of being a big science kit that stays on a shelf. My 6-year-old used it on moss during the trail behind our house and was completely absorbed. It makes our walks last twice as long. It took a few minutes to get the hang of focusing, but after that it was easy.

I wanted something portable that could make nature more exciting. My son started with leaves and then wanted to inspect grass too. It gives them a reason to explore. I would absolutely pick this over another noisy electronic toy.
I originally got this for my son, but honestly I have had just as much fun looking through it. We have checked out feathers, pieces of wood, and whatever else we can find. Simple, portable, and genuinely fun. It took a few minutes to get the hang of focusing, but after that it was easy.
My daughter usually asks for a screen after school, so I was happy to find something different. Now she grabs the Miniscope and heads to camping trips to look at things like a butterfly wing we found. It feels more like exploring than learning, which I love.
One of the better screen-free purchases we have made lately. My daughter gets excited to search for something new, and even simple tree bark becomes interesting under the Miniscope. Simple, portable, and genuinely fun.
My 5-year-old usually asks for a screen after school, so I was happy to find something different. Now they grabs the Miniscope and heads to the park to look at things like pebbles. It has made outside time much easier to suggest.

The magnification makes everyday things surprisingly interesting. My 8-year-old could not believe how different soil looked up close, and then we moved on to lichen. It makes science feel like play. It took a few minutes to get the hang of focusing, but after that it was easy.

This has turned weekend hikes into a mini science lab for us. My 7-year-old keeps bringing me the edge of a pinecone and a butterfly wing we found to inspect together. Great for any kid who likes asking "what is that?"

We got these copybooks to help strengthen Jude’s motor skills with tracing and copy work, and he is learning FAST! These books have been fantastic for his learning journey. Jude has become more confident in his writing abilities, and his hand-eye coordination has improved significantly.
These copybooks are fantastic! Each letter, number, and drawing is grooved, acting as a guide for my daughter until she can write on her own. The bundle includes four books, the magic pen, and refills, which is great. My favorite part is that the ink only lasts for 10 minutes, matching my 3-year-old’s attention span perfectly. It’s amazing to see her so engaged and learning while having fun. Highly recommend for any young child!
I usually don't care to give reviews at all, but this has improved my daughter's handwriting, math, and motor skills beyond other kids at the same age. I do not make her sit down and write, he loves to 'color' these books by herself. This has given so much value to me as a parent and to my child, I can't express this enough. I think every single parent should buy this or something similar for their kids. 5/5 books
They’ve been fantastic for my preschoolers, helping with drawing, fine motor skills, and even giving them a head start in math. The set includes multiple ink sticks for easy refills, making it super convenient.. The magic ink dries and disappears after about 10 minutes, allowing for endless practice. These books are perfect for homeschooling families or anyone looking to give their kids an early boost in their studies.”
The grooves in these copybooks help keep my daughter’s pen on the line, and she loves the disappearing ink, which makes writing fun and repetitive practice less of a chore. The disappearing ink feature is also very economical. The included pencil grip teaches her how to hold the pen correctly, building proper muscle memory and speeding up the handwriting learning process. The set includes four books—alphabet, numbers, math, and drawing—which used to be challenging to get her interested in. Now, she enjoys learning with these books, making our study sessions much easier and more enjoyable.
We tried the Groove Magic Copy Books and have seen a huge difference. The set comes with four books that use disappearing ink, making them fun for my kiddo and reusable. We love the Pin Grip Trainer because proper grip is the first step in achieving better handwriting. Highly recommend these for any parent looking to support their child’s learning!
I got the Groove Magic Copy Books for my boys as they prepare for kindergarten, and they absolutely love them. We tackle different books every day, covering a variety of topics. They get so excited tracing the numbers and feel proud when they get it right. The disappearing ink is a fantastic feature, making the pages fresh and ready for the next day. Plus, the pen grip and refillable ink inserts are great for teaching them how to hold a pen correctly. I’m sure your kids will love them as much as mine do!
We have really been trying to work on the alphabet, and not only do these books help with that, but her handwriting has improved immensely. It’s crazy! Not only has it helped her learn the alphabet, but she actually knows how to write out the letters now. This is the best thing for your preschoolers to get them prepared for kindergarten.
These copybooks definitely work. They have helped Leah improve her handwriting skills, but have also boosted her math, motor skills, and overall learning capabilities. Highly recommend for any parent looking to support their child’s development!
The Magic Copybook bundle has been a game changer for my little girl’s learning journey. It’s helping her excel in math, handwriting, visual skills, motor skills, and drawing. She loves the variety of activities, and the cute fish pen holder makes it fun to practice the correct grip. The disappearing ink is like magic, allowing her to reuse the pages over and over again. I’ve already noticed significant improvements!
My daughter is just learning how to write and my son’s farther along but always rushing. Both have seen improvements in just our first week of using these. They love the cute fish pen holder that encourages the correct grip and the ink disappears. It’s like magic so they can reuse the pages over and over again.
These copybooks made a huge difference in my son’s start with school. He actually enjoys using these books and has benefitted so much from these practices. The pen holder has been a lifesaver, helping him correct his grip while he writes. Highly recommend!
I’ve already seen a noticeable improvement in my daughter’s handwriting, and her teachers have even commented on how much her fine motor skills have improved since she started using the Groove Magic Copy Books.
I bought this for my niece and after a week my brother said that she has improved tremendously. My brother or I didn't even make her 'study' with this, she just played with the book. I think that's the main reason this is so damn effective, children do not even take this as studying or training. Just an interesting book with weird shapes and disappearing ink. I think this is a genius product and I would pay 3x the amount for this kind of result. highly recommend.
This helps so much with preschool writing. It aids with understanding the placement and size of letters.
Can’t be happier about these books… This really helped my dyslexic daughter with writing her letters correctly. Highly recommend 5/5 stars.
Five stars!! I homeschool and I've tried so many books and programs. I got easy peasy handwriting because I loved how it was color coded and the lines. After teaching A and B, my son wrote them beautifully on a chalkboard. Saying that, I recently read an article about (especially homeschool), whether to teach cursive, and if so, do you teach print or handwriting first. This has been a debate since I started homeschooling over 12 years ago. After I read the article, I decided to teach my five year old cursive first. It's not easy for my son at first, but print isn't either. He's taking to cursive pretty quickly. I ordered more cursive paper because while there is a lot of practice with the dotted lines, There isn't much for the child to practice without the dotted lines. So far, I'm very pleased with my purchase. I have had to make some slight changes...but so far, I'm very pleased with this product!
I bought this to help my first grade students who were struggling with their handwriting. They really liked the squares, and they were able to see where their letters were supposed to be on the page. They asked for these books every time we had a writing assignment. It eased their fears over letter spacing, which is very common with beginning writers. I highly recommend these copybooks for anyone who has children or students who are struggling with handwriting.
A child with ADD and low range austism. Handwriting has been a nightmare. I have FINALLY found a gold mine of products that are working! Our child is happy as she is making such incredible progress in her handwriting and placing numbers for her math equations. I am sharing this company with every occupational therapist and special needs teacher with whom I come in contact. I have ordered almost every product on their website! So thankful!
Perfect repetition to improve handwriting and math. This is the best way to master a new skill. My child loses patience after one row so we write each row in a different color so we have rainbow-colored pages. And the math book is AMAZING! He doesnt even know that he is learning math at the same time, he just writes and has fun while doing it. Gotta say, if you want to do something meaningful for your child that helps him/her later in life, like school, this is it. Highly recommend!
My son has writing issues due to some learning disabilities and has really been reluctant to write because he is also a perfectionist. We are a homeschooling family and I'm always looking for good tools to help him, so I purchased this after reading the reviews. I have to tell you these books has been an absolute GAME CHANGER! He went from struggling to write one legible sentence to happily writing with decent handwriting within weeks. I'm shocked, but it really does make sense once they get used to the books. He's now confidently writing on normal wide rules paper with very little issues. I can't tell you how much it means to him. Thank you for creating this product! I will be using it with my kindergartener son this fall as he learns to write as well.
I cannot tell you how much my kids handwriting has improved! I have looked at other workbook and none of them compared. This one has spaces that define every single letter and helps kids visually understand that there has to be a space in between each letter and how to write the letter correctly. While it is boring and even a little frustrating to do so many letters in one sitting, this workbook works great if you do a line per day. Trust me, your kid will thank you later when they get compliments on their handwriting. It's totally worth the buy!!! 100% recommend!!!
This product completely changed my daughter's attitude toward letter tracing. With regular tracing pads, she would become distraught around school time, and it would take hours to finish one sheet. The first day, she went through the entire book, every letter! The pen is slim enough that her practice grip fits right over it comfortably and the disappearing ink adds a spritz of magic to every lesson. I often find her […]
I use this with my 5th graders who struggle with handwriting. They practice with just a few pages a day and after a week they’re already showing significant progress. The kids also think it’s so cool; normally they hate writing but the novelty of these books make it fun and different for them. They were asking if I could get one for practicing cursive as well.
My son really enjoys this and I think it’s helping with his handwriting! The disappearing ink makes it fun for kids too 🙂
Our 5 year old was so frustrated trying to practice her letters. She is gaining confidence now that she can trace them to start and then do some on her own
Absolutely love this practice book. Wish we would’ve gotten it a long time ago! Our 3 year old daughter practices everyday and loves it too!
My four year old granddaughter hates writing, but loves about every other form of learning. She begrudgingly traces from the number book right now. It has made an immediate and significant difference in her ability to form numbers, without tracing. She does need to copy most of them, as yet. But, surprisingly rapid progress.
Grooved has amazing customer service! I messed up an accidentally placed two orders when I only meant to place one. Initially I was nervous because I could not find a phone number and only an email but within a few hours they had not only responded but corrected the problem! I will add on to my review when I get the items :)
I purchased this product for my 4 year old granddaughter and she LOVES it! She was soooooo excited to open it and she started to use it right away. She is very advanced for her age and her parents and I want her to learn how to write. She already knows her ABC’s and numbers by sight but this book will help her be more advanced when she starts preschool.
I like that my daughter loves it and is able to use it right away. It's great for teaching kids how to right. The size was a bit misleading tho, smaller than in the picture.
I'v been wondering why no one thought of this sooner?? these books are amazing for helping my daughter read and write thank you!
Love it! Definitely worth the money!!!!!
These are a very good idea. They improved my granddaughters handwriting immediately. The only complaint is they are costly.
It's amazing in training of hand writing skill. Excellent idea and great gifts to young children.
The ink really does disappear. My daughter was more into scribbling all over the page at first, but a few min later all the marks were gone and we could start over. This beats the dry erase books that you have to wipe down!
This was a gift for my 5 year old grandson. I’m told it’s very good and just what he needs making it worth the money.
Quality nice! Extremely happy
We really like it... really good product to have my daughter practice her writing.
Ordered this handwriting workbook for 4 year old great grandson who announced he thought he needed to learn to write his name. Has been a great help to him in making letters, he's actually learned to write his name by first tracing the letters then making them freehand. He's now learning to write hi […]
This was a great purchase for my child! The pages are thick and perforated so when she is done we can hang it on the fridge! It is definitely worth the price! I would certainly recommend this to others!
Use for our kindergarten homeschool program and it has really worked! I don't push the kids to write or draw anything, I give them one of the books, and they usually just start to follow the "imprints". They learn math by repetition and fun ways. Recommend to any parent or adult to buy this for thei […]
I have had this product for roughly a month and I definitely reccomend this for daily or every other day. My child began practicing writing and has improved, I'm completely in awe! I will order more for my other younger children to use in the future as well. I would reccomend this to anyone home dab […]
My son has no interest in writing then I bought this book for him and now he can use this book with interest and can now write more than past.
After a few weeks of actually using this, my 5 year old hasn't torn it up yet, which is saying a lot. The bind is staying together very well.
My daughter likes it! Handle with vanishing paste, it is very convenient! The set includes several spare paste!)
Great learning tool to prepare for kindergarten. Helps children to want to learn.
A fantastic educational resource for kindergarten readiness, inspiring children to enjoy learning.
Well worth the money.
